Wedding Cakes - Terms and Conditions
​RETAINER: A £100 retainer is required to reserve your date, this will be deducted from your final balance. Payment of this retainer confirms your acceptance of our terms and conditions and is binding. Payments can be made in cash or by bank transfer. (Payment details available upon request). In the event of cancellation, your retainer is NON-REFUNDABLE and NOT TRANSFERABLE.

Please note, the minimum order value for April to October is £500
PAYMENT: Total contract price is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding date. The cake will not be made if the final payment has not been received. We are happy to agree a payment plan and accept staggered payments towards the final contract price – however all monies, must be paid and received 4 weeks prior to event. If you miss your final payment date all previous payments are non-refundable and are not recoverable in the event of total cancellation.

PLEASE NOTE: Overdue accounts will incur a late payment fee of £50 in lieu of additional administration work involved and may result in the cancellation of your order.

​CHANGES: Changes to your cake order will be accepted up to 6 weeks prior to the wedding date. After the lock out date of 6 weeks we cannot accept changes. We reserve the right to recalculate your revised design and apply the relevant charges to reflect these changes.
CAKE STANDS: All cake stands are supplied for a nominal rental charge, however a security deposit is required against loss or damage. This deposit is fully refunded upon the safe and timely return of the item in its original condition. All loan items must be returned to Amelia Rose Cake Studio in their original condition WITHIN 4 DAYS FOLLOWING YOUR EVENT. Late or damaged pieces will result in forfeit of deposit and may incur additional charges. Please wipe down all noticeable food or foreign material off the rented equipment but do not wash them.

*Damaged items, late return or failure to return the stand, resulting in Amelia Rose Cake studio having to retrieve the stand from your wedding venue, will result in forfeit of the security deposit.*

​DELIVERY AND SET UP: We provide delivery and set up for all wedding cake deliveries within 20 miles of our business address @ £50. We will coordinate the time with you and/or your venue and schedule to meet you (or your designee) to set up your cake at an agreed time. Out of area delivery is available for an extra charge. Charges for this service start at £50 within a 20 mile radius of our premises and then an additional 50p per mile (return trip) for longer journeys. Whilst based in Northamptonshire we regularly take commissions much further afield across the country and we are happy to discuss delivery to your chosen venue. For out of county deliveries we will offer a package delivery price incorporating a fair combined charge for mileage and labour. Please just ask for details.(please note - excessive jarring due to pot holes, road construction or unseen road conditions, will damage the finished product to an unstable or undesirable status).

​CANCELLATION POLICY: If you cancel the booking and give us minimum notice of 6 weeks prior to your booking date, you will be refunded 50% of any instalments made. The initial deposit of £100 is non-refundable in all instances. If your cancellation is less than 6 weeks prior to the booking date no monies paid will be refunded. Refunds will be processed within 30 days. In the event something occurs that effects your scheduled wedding date please contact us as soon as possible to discuss options.​

DEFAULTS: In the event of any default to our terms and conditions, failure to return a signed copy of your contract within the requested timescale or missed payments we reserve the right to cancel your order and you will be advised accordingly. This will result in the forfeit of any monies already paid.

UNAVOIDABLE OCCURRENCE: In the case of an unavoidable occurrence, such as a car accident, poor road conditions, traffic delays during delivery, adverse weather conditions etc. Amelia Rose Cake Studio CANNOT be held liable for more than the price of the cake described in your order.

​COLOUR MATCHING: We will always strive to achieve the best possible colour match for your cake to your overall wedding theme. This can best be achieved if a colour sample can be supplied by the client. This must be supplied prior to the lock out date. Please bear in mind that cake and sugar products will never be an exact match to fabrics or flowers due to the different mediums involved.

FRESH FLOWER USAGE: In the case of fresh flower usage, the responsibility of the flowers safety, quality, freshness, colour and safe food practice will rest with the florist and NOT WITH Amelia Rose Cake Studio.​

ALLERGIES MUST BE DECLARED: We will always endeavour to bake our products in accordance with your special allergen requirements. However, we cannot be liable for ingredients and products packed or prepared from external sources. Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk as Amelia Rose Cake Studio CANNOT be held liable.

DISCRETIONARY CHANGES: Amelia Rose Cake Studio reserves the right to make minor design changes as required in order to ensure the highest quality end product.

EXTREME WEATHER: Throughout periods of extremely hot weather Amelia Rose Cake studio will take every possible precaution to reduce the risk of your cake being affected. Our kitchen and work room is fully air conditioned and we will adapt our recipes to provide a firmer cake or frosting as required. All our delivery vehicles are air conditioned and your cake will be packaged in heavy duty transportation boxes to provide maximum heat deflection. Obviously we cannot be accountable for the temperature at a venue. We will provide written and verbal advice to the venue but cannot be liable for any damage or decline in quality or appearance due to extreme weather conditions occurring after we have delivered and subsequently left the premises.​

COMPLAINTS: We are confident that like all of our customers you will be very happy with your purchase and enjoy your cake. In the very unlikely event that you are dissatisfied in any way problems must be brought to our attention within 24 hours. A refund would only be considered if the entire cake is returned to us for investigation and verification of the issue. If you are unable to return the product we regret that we would be unable to investigate any potential cause for concern or process any refund.

GDPR: Any personal information gathered is for the purpose of effective communication between the customer and Amelia Rose Cake Studio. It is for the sole use of Amelia Rose Cake Studio and no information will be shared with or sold to any third party.
